Description
This essay addresses tensions that are located in the encounter between new neoliberal capitalist configurations based on life on digital platforms and the communication market that deals with scientific disinformation. To this end, statistical data on disinformation about vaccines is presented, as well as theoretical approaches regarding the platforms' business possibilities. On the one hand, optimists who see connective business models in Big Tech, on the other, thinkers who consider platforms as new spaces for human exploration and colonization, where disinformation presents itself as a strategy to attract users' attention.
